How can we plan and create resource-efficient neighbourhoods? This question had been discussed by over 130 participants from different backgrounds at the official inauguration event of the funding measure. Thus, at 5th and 6th of June all 11 funded projects of RES:Z met in Frankfurt at DECHEMA e.V. for a kick-off meeting. The 11 projects had been presented and heavily discussed in respect of their impact towards mitigating climate change, mobility, water and resource management.
After the main event, at day two, the partner cities Erlangen and Ludwigsburg presented their status quo during an internal workshop. On the basic of the workshop, all relevant influencing factors for the scenario-development were eventually defined. Equally, the functions of future streets and its relevance for the two partner cities were discussed.
